The best time to buy a car is typically the last few days of the month. If you are looking for a super deal, the last day of the month is generally the best time to buy. The end of month is the when basement bargain price are typically given away. There several reasons that come into play when it comes to deals the dealers are willing to do within the last few days of the month. The first factor has to deal with the dealers sales objective. The manufacturer forecasts how many vehicles a dealer is required to sell each month. They are rewarded greatly for reaching those goals. If it comes down to the dealer only needing three calls to hit their sales objective and you are there at that time, you are almost certain to walk away with a phenomenal deal on a vehicle. January is probably the worst month to buy a vehicle even on the last day of the month. January is not a great month to buy because December is arguably the best time to ever buy. The manufacturers hold back a little in January in anticipation of a slow month. The deals are at their absolute best in December for new cars that are left over from the previous year. The second factor has to do with aged inventory. The floor plan that dealers used to finance their inventory plays a big part in car literally flying off of the lot at unbelievable discounted prices. If the vehicle has been around for a significant amount of time it must go. The third and final reason is that the incentives could change for the worst. More times than not they will get better or stay the same but it is always a possibility that they could change for the worst. It is nothing worse than missing out on a dealer when you are told that the incentives could change. If you were not that serious about buying a car it doesn't matter but if you are serious and thinking that holding out another day will sweeten the deal when it is already the end of the month you could be making a big mistake. Just remember that the closer you get to closing time on the last day of the month could result in a tremendous savings for you on a new vehicle.
